Job Purpose

Responsible for electrical engineering, installation, testing and commissioning activities for utility-scale Solar PV projects, ensuring compliance with approved drawings, project specifications, quality and HSE requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise electrical installation works for Solar PV projects.
• Oversee DC cabling, string connections, combiner boxes, inverters, transformers, MV/LV systems, switchgear and earthing systems.
• Review electrical drawings, SLDs, cable schedules, layouts, specifications and technical documents.
• Coordinate with EPC construction, civil, mechanical, QA/QC and commissioning teams.
• Conduct site inspections and ensure works comply with approved designs and project requirements.
• Review method statements, ITPs, RFIs and technical submittals.
• Monitor electrical construction progress and resolve site technical issues.
• Support testing, commissioning, energization and grid-connection activities.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors and other project stakeholders.
• Maintain technical records, inspection reports and handover documentation.

Qualification & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Preferably 8–12 years of experience, with relevant experience in utility-scale Solar PV/EPC projects.
• Good knowledge of DC/AC systems, inverters, transformers, MV/LV systems, switchgear, protection and earthing.
• Experience in electrical testing and commissioning preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret SLDs, electrical drawings and technical specifications.
• Strong knowledge of QA/QC and HSE requirements.
• GCC/UAE Solar PV experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Technology (BTech)
