Job description

The Physical Education Department at the United Arab Emirates University invites applications for an Assistant Professor position in Health and Physical Education (male/female).
Candidates are expected to have a Ph.D. or Ed.D. in health and physical education or a closely related field (e.g., sport pedagogy, motor learning, sport coaching, sport or exercise psychology). A strong background in teaching both theoretical and practical courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels is essential. Experience in supervising student teachers or practicum students, along with providing effective, constructive feedback, is highly desirable.
The successful candidate will be expected to have an established research profile with Q1 publications in refereed journals, demonstrate teaching effectiveness, contribute to curriculum development, and actively promote UAE University's growth and mission.
The application package should include a detailed resume that shows your degrees and education, academic work history, a list of courses taught, a list of publications with the top 5 publications highlighted, and a link to your Google Scholar/Scopus profile. Screening of applications will continue until the position is filled.
English is the language of instruction and communication.

Minimum qualification

Ph.D. or Ed.D. in health and physical education or a closely related field.
Strong evidence of producing Scopus ranked Q1 publications.

Preferred qualification

Expertise in sport pedagogy, motor learning, sport coaching, sport or exercise psychology.

Expected skills

Applicants at all ranks may be considered if expertise is strongly in the desired areas.

Special instructions to applicants

Applicants with exercise physiology or sport biomechanics background are secondary to this position.
