Job description

Faculty Position in Computer and AI Engineering - All Ranks
The College of Computing and Artificial Intelligence (CCAI) at the United Arab Emirates University (UAEU) invites applications for a faculty position in the Department of Computer Engineering.
We seek an outstanding scholar with expertise in AI-driven systems, autonomous systems, intelligent hardware, robotics, and drones/UAVs. The successful candidate will strengthen the Department’s research and teaching in areas of strategic importance, including intelligent sensing and perception, autonomous control and decision-making, embedded and edge AI, robotics, and real-world deployment of intelligent systems.
The appointee will contribute to building a high-quality research program, securing external research funding, and establishing productive collaborations within UAEU and with external partners.
Qualifications
• Applicants must hold a Ph.D. in computer engineering, computer science, systems engineering, or a closely related field from a recognized institution.
• Demonstrated experience in industry collaboration, technology transfer, and the successful execution of R&D projects, including projects conducted in partnership with industry and other external stakeholders.
Candidates should demonstrate:
• A strong publication record in reputable journals and leading international conferences.
• Evidence of, or strong potential for, securing competitive research funding.
• Excellence in teaching and student supervision at undergraduate and graduate levels.
• The breadth to teach courses across computer and AI engineering and related areas.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to contribute to interdisciplinary initiatives.
