Penspen www.penspen.com is looking for a Superintendent, Construction – Mechanical (Shutdown)A Superintendent, Construction – Mechanical (Shutdown) manages mechanical, piping, and equipment overhaul activities during planned plant turnarounds, shutdowns, or outages in the oil and gas sectorQualification and Experience Required.Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.Minimum of 15 to 20+ years in the oil and gas industry with a strong focus on mechanical and piping site construction, maintenance, and major turnarounds.Mandatory experience with ADNOC projects, gas processing/compression, and regional compliance (such as CICPA passes)Deep familiarity with international codes including ASME B31.3, API 650, and ASME Section IX.Key ResponsibilitiesLead site construction teams, contractors, and subcontractors through tight shutdown and turnaround schedules.Supervise rotating machinery, static equipment, process piping, and HVAC overhauls.Enforce strict Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) standards, permit-to-work protocols, and quality control (ITP/QCP) compliance.Coordinate inspection walkdowns, pressure testing, pre-commissioning, and punch-list closures.Resolve technical queries and interface with client engineering and vendor teams.#LI-VV1
