Key Responsibilities / Accountabilities:
- Obtain and interpret medical, dental and psychosocial history. Including the evaluation of physical and social conditions that may affect dental management.
- Conduct examination and order appropriate radiographs as needed.
- Prescribe medication as needed.
- Responsible for evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of disorder and condition on the field of dentistry. Those might include and not limited to:
- All types of direct restorations and indirect restorations with in the privileges
- Limited Fixed Prosthodontic treatment within privileges
- Preventive treatments with in the privileges.
- Limited Endodontic treatment within privileges
- Bleaching.
- Simple Extraction.
- Emergency treatment as needed.
- Any treatment not included in the above description beyond Job Description of Dentist must be referred to appropriate clinic following the referral system. As of ADC Guidelines.
- Complies with the standards laid down by the Joint Commission International Accreditation (JCIA)/ Central Board for accreditation of Healthcare Institutions (CBAHI) and performs duties necessary to support and achieve accreditation.
- Responsible to adhere the safety and security measures.
- Responsible to apply the Infection Control measures.
- Participate in the Hospital educational activity program.
- Participate in, and lead person-centered care initiatives undertaken by AJAJI.
- Enrich patient experience with compassion, respect and dignity.
- Perform other applicable tasks and duties assigned within the realm of his knowledge, skills and abilities.
Academic Responsibility:
- Direct and advise junior staff on patient management, especially in the field of Family Dentistry.
- Guide and actively participates in training and teaching of the intern, junior staff, Specialist and residents.
- Actively participate in educational activities and training programs of the department.
