The role envisages driving financial resource optimisation for capital and liquidity for the designated AME balance sheets across WRB and CIB as well as the Group, with a view to achieve increased return on tangible equity (“RoTE”) for the Bank. Given the structural LCY surplus across AME balance sheets, a substantial proportion of the role's focus will be on driving the WRB agenda across the region, optimising surplus deployment, improving balance sheet productivity, and maximising the value of financial resources.
  • Focusing on optimising the balance sheet through engagement across WRB and CIB Business functions and working in close co-ordination with WRB Business Heads, WRB Business Finance, CIB Business Heads as well as the Asset side CPM, the CPM Markets, CPM Transactions Services and WRB, and the CPM distribution team, the mandate is to achieve overall balance sheet and RoTE optimisation, while operating within the regulatory constraints of Group and Legal Entities (LEs). The role will be the CPM voting representative in the designated country Asset & Liability Committees (ALCOs) and the primary faceoff to WRB and CIB business teams across coverage and product, Group/Regional Treasury and Finance for all WRB and CIB balance sheet management matters.

  • Promote alignment of global priorities (segment / product / function) with local balance sheet realities (regions/countries), raising awareness and understanding through pro-active, insightful engagement.

Stress Testing and Modelling capabilities

  • Key WRB and CIB representative for liquidity stress testing at Group and LE levels for assumptions and review of outputs
