Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Heavy Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating heavy vehicles to transport vehicles, materials, equipment, or goods safely and efficiently while ensuring compliance with road safety regulations and company procedures. The ideal candidate should have a strong driving record, excellent knowledge of local roads, and the ability to maintain high standards of professionalism and customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate heavy vehicles safely and efficiently in accordance with traffic laws and company policies.
• Transport vehicles, parts, materials, and equipment to designated locations while ensuring timely delivery.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicles are in safe operating condition.
• Report any vehicle defects, accidents, incidents, or maintenance requirements promptly.
• Ensure proper loading, securing, and unloading of cargo to prevent damage during transit.
• Maintain accurate records of trips, fuel consumption, mileage, and delivery documentation.
• Follow assigned schedules and routes to meet operational requirements.
• Comply with all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Keep vehicles clean and presentable at all times.
• Provide professional and courteous service to customers and internal stakeholders.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Valid heavy buses and heavy vehicles license.
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience operating heavy vehicles.
• Good knowledge of local traffic regulations and road networks.
• Ability to perform basic vehicle inspections and identify mechanical issues.
• Physically fit and capable of handling loading and unloading activities when required.
• Basic literacy and numeracy skills for completing delivery and transportation documents.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays when required.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of vehicle maintenance practices is an advantage.
