About the role

4. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
4.1 Primary Responsibility
• Carries out cleaning procedures in accomplishing the task of housekeeping; which includes general cleaning, spring cleaning, floor waxing & polishing, cleaning of walls, cleaning and polishing of the furniture etc.
• To clean all the assigned area as per the schedule.
• Cleans discharge rooms for admission, to clean all OPDs and treatment rooms, critical areas and all other areas of the hospital.
• Taking care of garbage cans and collect the garbage whenever it is ¾ full.
• Filling out the washroom checklist after cleaning & maintaining the washroom half hourly.
• Using the proper safety & sanitation procedures in performing his assigned duties.
• To follow all infection control practices in performing his assigned duties.
• Being careful with the resident belongings so that nothing gets damaged & lost.
• Completing his portion of work to the required standard.
• To follow the Duty Rota and Duty allocation made by the supervisors.
• Perform other duties as assigned & instructed by their supervisor.
• Report all discrepancies to the supervisor immediately.
• To maintain proper grooming standards during duty hours.
• Ensure the patients are treated courteously.
4.2 Secondary Responsibility
• Maintain professional conduct with internal and external customers for a robust working environment.
• Attend training for self-development.
• Participate in the performance evaluation system.
• Perform other duties as and when assigned based on the requirement.
