Job Description – Junior Draughtswoman

Experience: Fresh graduate or up to 1 year
Job Purpose
To support the Technical Department in preparing accurate interior fit-out shop drawings and related technical documentation under the guidance of senior team members.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare interior fit-out drawings, including plans, elevations, sections and details.
- Assist in developing shop drawings based on design and IFC drawings.
- Revise drawings according to consultant, client and site comments.
- Assist with architectural, joinery and MEP coordination.
- Prepare as-built drawings based on approved site information.
- Maintain proper drawing revisions, records and file documentation.
- Ensure drawings comply with project requirements and company standards.
- Coordinate with senior draftsmen, designers, engineers and site teams.
- Complete assigned drafting work within the required timelines.
Qualifications and Skills
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Fresh graduate or up to one year of relevant experience.
- Basic proficiency in AutoCAD is mandatory.
- Basic understanding of interior fit-out drawings and construction details.
- Knowledge of SketchUp or Revit is an advantage.
- Good attention to detail and willingness to learn.
- Good communication, teamwork and time-management skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and work under the supervision of senior team members.
Responsibilities
- To prepare shop drawing.
- To refer and understand the scope of work of the projects.
- Regular updation of drawing register.
- Updation of drawings.
- To carry out the main drawing based on the specification by the Manager- Projects.
- Review the site details with Engineers/Managers-Projects/Architect.
- To provide related projects details to sales department based on the customer supplied drawings/details measured from the site.
- To send drawings to the client for approval.
- Plan and issue the drawing as per requirement of Architect.
- Record all the drawings distribution in drawing control register.
