Job Summary

To ensure that crane working list is always followed unless otherwise advised, to guide crane operator, and lashing gang, relate closely with vessel command and to follow crane work list, loading sequences, check condition of containers, seal, and guide tractors for proper positioning under cranes through terminal system.

Responsibilities

Optical Character Recognition (OCR) System Description

· Camco’s OCR camera identifies containers during unloading and loading, without slowing down crane operations.

· Seamless TOS integration ensures that the captured data is instantly sent to the TOS,

· OCR system with intelligent cameras travelling on vertical rails, mounted onto the crane portal legs. connected to the crane PLC,

· It detects container Number, ISO code, seal presence, IMDG label and door direction, 360° container images.

· It autonomously travels vertically to the optimal position to capture the swiftly passing container.

OCR Exception Handler Responsibilities

· Data formerly registered manually by COA under the crane is now automatically captured, greatly enhancing safety

· Remotely in a secure working environment.

· Communicate with the SVD manager’s for to assigned allocation.

· Be available on time at the assigned location.

· Verify the OCR system exception handler function from Bridge Web Application.

· Exception Handler can use the Crane Operator Application for further exception handling

· Responsible for controlling equipment's assign to his crane, monitoring, and updating Exception cases.

· Exception handler is fully responsible for all the movements of all containers on board such as discharge or loading

· Coordinating with Lashers / Coning Assistant, Vessel crew, vessel supervisor and QC operator.

· Exception handler needs to check exception jobs through captured pictures and update as per the exception jobs

· Verify the captured pictures in the OCR bridge application to ensure that you have entered the correct container number, ISO number, or TT number. Based on the exceptions or issues communicate with the appropriate department or a person

· If the container is not manifested, containers must be discharged as per their stowage; place them on the quayside and communicate with Vessel supervisor

Qualification

Language & technical skills are mandatory to allow the employee to update the container details via system and do the required system check.

Required Experiences

Terminal knowledge and experience, minimum 01 ~ 02 years, entry level job.

Diploma minimum / Bachelor’s degree maximum
