The Pipe Fitter performs structural and piping fitting work with the maintenance team. Day to day, the role involves carrying out general maintenance fitting duties using hand and machine tools, and following the permit to work system procedures to work inside a running plant. The position also supports fabrication, installation, maintenance, repairs, and cleaning of pipe spools and industrial steel works, including dismantling, cleaning, assembling, staging, stripping, and adjusting equipment. Additional responsibilities include cutting and fitting gaskets, aligning flanges, and preparing, assembling, installing, and maintaining pipes of various diameters and material types.
