Job Title :

Engineer-Pre Sales (BAS)

Responsibilities

Technical Pre-Sales and Solution Design: •Work closely with the sales team to identify and develop business opportunities for Building Management System, Guest Room Management System, Smart Metering System and Building Automation solutions. •Analyze customer requirements, project specifications, review (RFQs), (RFPs), and tender documents. •Design BMS solutions for Air Conditioning (HVAC) controls, Guest Room Management System, Smart Metering System, Lighting control, Energy monitoring, Fire alarm integration, and other Building automation systems. •Prepare system architecture, network topology, equipment selection, and other required technical designs. •Evaluate technical risks and optimize system designs to achieve the required functionality & cost-effectiveness. •Ensure that proposed solutions comply with project specifications, customer requirements, and applicable international standards. •Coordinate with suppliers, manufacturers, vendors, and internal engineering teams for product selection. Estimation, Proposals, and Tendering: •Develop Bills of Quantities (BOQs), cost estimates, technical and commercial proposals, and supporting documentation. •Prepare technical submittals, compliance statements, and compliance matrices in accordance with project and tender requirements. •Coordinate the preparation and submission of bids and tenders within the established deadlines. •Provide technical clarifications and supporting information during commercial negotiations with consultants. Client and Consultant Coordination: •Conduct client meetings, technical discussions, and site surveys to understand project requirements. •Deliver product demonstrations, and technical presentations to clients and consultants. •Respond to technical queries raised by clients and consultants during the proposal and bidding stages. •Develop and maintain professional relationships with consultants to support product specifications and business opportunities. •Coordinate with relevant stakeholders throughout the pre-sales and tendering processes.

Educational Qualifications

Education Degree

: Bachelor

Major

: • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering field.

Experience

Years of Experience

: 3 - 8 Years

Field of Experience

: • 3–8 years of experience in Building Management Systems, building automation, HVAC control, or ELV systems. • Relevant experience in technical pre-sales, estimation, proposal preparation, and tendering activities. • Experience supporting commercial, industrial, or residential building projects. • Demonstrated experience in specifying and selling integrated ELV and Building Automation System solutions. • Strong knowledge of the Kuwait & KSA building technologies market and a proven track record in relevant business opportunities are preferred.

Skills

•In-depth knowledge of Building Management System architecture, HVAC control systems, energy-management systems, lighting-control systems, and smart-building technologies. •Hands-on experience with leading BMS brands, such as Schneider Electric, Honeywell, and ABB. •Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Visio, Microsoft Office, and relevant estimation tools. •Knowledge of Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) integration is an added advantage. •Excellent communication skills in English, Arabic-language proficiency is an advantage. •Strong presentation, negotiation, and commercial awareness skills. •Strong technical analysis, solution-design, estimation, and proposal-development capabilities.
