The role of the Production Foreman is to assist Production Supervisor in coordinating and supervising the load & haul; drill & blast and grade control mining activities, during shift work including safety, health and environmental issues on site, and it is done in association with achieving JRAR production objectives in a safe and cost-effective manner in liaison with the client

• Supervise and co-ordinate production employees in liaison with the Production Supervisor to ensure that the project site meets the production targets set in a safe and cost-effective manner.
• Ensure that in conjunction with the Production Supervisor liaises with Maintenance Supervisor to advice of operational maintenance and break down requirements of equipment during the shift; and the weekly maintenance schedules in a timely manner, which will not have effect on production.
• Provide support to production employees with regards to health, safety and environment in the delivery of specialist mining production.

Specific Skills / Competencies

• At least 3 years plus working experience in the mining industry
• At least 3 years of experience in similar position
• Good knowledge of pit configuration (e.g. layout, ramps, dumps, roads)
• Good mining experience in truck and excavator operations and production
• Effective communication skills
• Good organizational skills

Required Licenses and Certifications (Optional/If position required):

• Current Driving License (Heavy Duty Vehicle and Equipment)
• Middle School Leaving Certificate or equivalent
• Mine Foreman Certificate
• First Aid Certificate
