Job Overview

The role of the Production Foreman is to assist Production Supervisor in coordinating and supervising the load & haul; drill & blast and grade control mining activities, during shift work including safety, health and environmental issues on site, and it is done in association with achieving JRAR production objectives in a safe and cost-effective manner in liaison with the client.

Responsibilities and Duties

· Supervise and co-ordinate production employees in liaison with the Production Supervisor to ensure that the project site meets the production targets set in a safe and cost-effective manner.

· Ensure that in conjunction with the Production Supervisor liaises with Maintenance Supervisor to advice of operational maintenance and break down requirements of equipment during the shift; and the weekly maintenance schedules in a timely manner, which will not have effect on production.

· Provide support to production employees with regards to health, safety and environment in the delivery of specialist mining production.

Qualifications

Education Level: Primary

Years of Experience: Minimum 3

Specific Skills / Competencies

· At least 3 years plus working experience in the mining industry

· At least 3 years of experience in similar position

· Good knowledge of pit configuration (e.g. layout, ramps, dumps, roads)

· Good mining experience in truck and excavator operations and production

· Effective communication skills

· Good organizational skills

Required Licenses and Certifications (Optional/If position required):

· Current Driving License (Heavy Duty Vehicle and Equipment)

· Middle School Leaving Certificate or equivalent

· Mine Foreman Certificate

· First Aid Certificate
