Job Summary
We are seeking a Quantity Surveyor / Cost Controller to join our contracting and construction company on a remote-work basis, with site visits when required.
The candidate will prepare quantity take-offs, interim payment applications and cost reports, and verify subcontractor quantities to protect project cash flow and margins.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying or a related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of QS experience in construction projects.
- Strong skills in quantity take-off from drawings and BOQ preparation.
- Experience in preparing interim payment applications and subcontractor payments.
- Knowledge of cost control, budgets and variation pricing.
- Proficiency in Excel and AutoCAD; experience with ERP systems (e.g., Dynamics 365) is an advantage.
- Ability to work independently in a remote work environment and meet deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare quantity take-offs from drawings for budgeting, procurement and billing.
- Prepare monthly interim payment applications to the client.
- Verify subcontractors’ quantities and prepare their payment certificates.
- Monitor project costs against budget and prepare cost reports.
- Price and evaluate variations and support claims preparation.
- Maintain BOQ, variation and payment records.
- Coordinate remotely with site teams and attend site for measurements when required.
