Safety Manager is responsible for leading the HSE strategy and ensuring strict implementation of safety systems across complex underground construction operations. The role involves developing, enforcing and continuously improving HSE policies, procedures, and risk management frameworks to ensure full regulatory compliance and a strong safety culture. The manager oversees high risk activities including long-distance TBM operations, cross passage excavation, confined space works, hyperbaric interventions where applicable and shaft logistics, ensuring proactive hazard identification and control measures are effectively implemented. Additionally, the role includes conducting audits, reviewing method statements and risk assessments, coordinating with project and engineering teams and ensuring emergency preparedness and incident prevention. Strong leadership and communication skills are essential to drive safety performance and ensure safe, efficient execution of all activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering (BE)
