About the Role
We are hiring a Senior Automation Engineer with strong experience in Siemens S7-400 and PCS 7 to support major industrial and process-plant automation projects. The role involves gathering client requirements, preparing engineering documentation, developing PLC/SCADA applications, executing FAT/SAT, and leading commissioning and handover activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect and document client requirements for process plant automation systems.
- Prepare Functional Design Specifications, control philosophies, test procedures, and related engineering documents.
- Develop PLC and SCADA applications using Siemens STEP 7, PCS 7, and WinCC.
- Configure and troubleshoot communication networks (Profibus, Profinet, Industrial Ethernet).
- Execute internal testing, FAT, SAT, and site commissioning activities.
- Manage punch lists, resolve technical issues, and support smooth project handover to the client.
- Work closely with internal and client teams to ensure successful project delivery.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechatronics, or Computer Engineering.
- 5–9 years of proven experience in industrial automation with Siemens S7-400 and PCS 7.
- Strong expertise in Siemens engineering tools (STEP 7, PCS 7, WinCC).
- Solid understanding of process automation, control systems, and instrumentation.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Valid Qatar driving licence is an advantage.
