The Analyst Assistant will play a crucial role in assisting the QCC Biology Laboratory team. Their primary responsibility is to aid in the preparation and handling of samples for analysis, ensuring they are properly stored and disposed of according to established procedures. This role is vital in maintaining the laboratory's high standards and contributing to accurate and reliable results.
Responsibilities
- Prepare samples according to established procedures, aiming for a high preparation-to-sample ratio.
- Participate in activities related to device calibration and sample analysis, ensuring operational performance indicators and quality standards are met.
- Monitor sample storage in designated areas, adhering to technical requirements and quality demands.
- Ensure proper disposal of unnecessary samples as per laboratory-approved protocols.
- Assist the analyst in daily audits of laboratory devices and equipment, maintaining efficiency.
- Calibrate glassware, refrigerators, and other equipment annually as per ISO 17025 laboratory standards.
- Participate in inventory management of standard materials, chemicals, and laboratory supplies, generating relevant reports.
- Adhere to laboratory-approved health and safety standards, minimizing documented errors.
- Engage in maintenance and repair of laboratory devices and equipment to ensure smooth laboratory operations.
- Assist in preparing, updating, and maintaining annual supply lists and technical evaluation of tenders.
Qualifications
