JOB DESCRIPTION

Position : GOLF OPERATIONS INTERN

Department: GOLF OPERATIONS

Responsible To: GOLF SERVICES MANAGER / GOLF OPERATIONS MANAGER

Purpose and Scope of Position:

To assist with frontline operations, ensuring smooth administrative processes and excellent service.

Job Description:

To assist the membership services & golf operations department

• • 1. 1. Job Responsibilities:

• Reports to the Golf Operations Manager and Golf Services Manager
• Assists in developing and maintaining a club atmosphere that will enhance the clubs image and positively distinguish it from the competition.
• Prepares information for regular communication with all members regarding membership programs, activities and campaigns
• Oversees the execution & delivers “tour techniques’ for prospective members that identify their needs so that the tour is tailored to showcase those needs.
• Ensure timely mailing and telephone responses to prospective members
• Records new and prospective members reactions to facilities and programs so that changes or reinforcement can happen
• Develops a complete understanding of membership classifications, fees, programs at the club, club policies, rules and guidelines to answer member and prospective member questions.
• Develop and enhance the new Member Welcome package at the Golf Club
• Assists new members with becoming familiar with the club, staff and privileges
• Manages the communication and execution of the membership renewal process

• Is familiar with competitive clubs, their services, pricing structure, membership programs etc.
• Assists with plans for all social activities, new member evening & Club night
• Overseas the day-to-day operation.
• Acts as the point of contact and communication centre for all queries relating to members accounts, ensuring prompt and timely closure of all queries
• Assists with members golf events, prize giving, preparations and press releases
• Assists as required with corporate golf days as directed by DOG.
• Works in golf operations as required, starter, marshall, range etc.
• Ensures 59club results are monitored and service levels achieved in membership and golf operations
• Assists with the volunteer programs for ODDC and ODLM
• Assists the club reception team.
• Part of duty Manager Roster

2. Communication Responsibilities:

• Weekly reports submitted for management meetings
• Minutes of the MCC meetings
• Membership feedback reports
• Night golf finance and promotion reports
• Continuously checking the members zone is accurate and up to date
• Handle private taxi operators and ensure that issues, timings are taken care of.

• • 1. Ancillary Duties:

In line with the Club’s drive for continual improvement and the involvement with General Operations, the Club Service Executive Intern is required to participate in various extra activities contributing to the growth of the club culture including attendance at major golf event prize presentations and various evening functions.

4. Quality Responsibilities:

• Standards within the Quality Policy document and Club’s operations Manual. Achievement of quality goals. Compliance with the statement of values. This may include periodical audits and data collections.
• To be actively involved in the Club ISO Quality Management Certification process
• Aware of Dubai Golf Mission, Vision and Values. Will be responsible to adopt the 4 Service Steps throughout serving internal and external customers.

1. IT Security Awareness:

• Read, Understand and comply with all applicable Information Security Policies and Procedures of wasl.
• Co-operate, co-ordinate and share information with Internal/External Audit teams as appropriate and applicable.
• Attend Information Security Awareness sessions conducted by the wasl IT Department.
• All Information Security breaches, events, weaknesses, incidents (actual or suspected breaches) shall be immediately reported to the IT Service Desk.

POSITION: GOLF EXEPERIENCE EXECUTIVE (Intern)

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

SUPPORTIVE SKILLS

University / Diploma holder in sports related field

Bubbly Personality / Public Speaker

Minimum 2 to 3 years’ experience in a similar position.

Presentable, flexible and friendly attitude

Excellent working knowledge on MS Word

Excel and PowerPoint

Effective complaint handling and

very good listening skills

Excellent communication skills

Sales and marketing experience with products that are high end/luxury, expensive

Thorough knowledge on Golf.

(PGA Golf Professional an advantage)
