Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Physics or an equivalent science major
- B.Ed. or an equivalent teaching qualification
Experience
- Minimum 2 years of teaching experience in an international school
Preferred Qualities
- Experience teaching IGCSE Physics and IB Diploma Programme (DP) Physics
- Strong subject knowledge in Physics and related scientific disciplines
- Proficiency in the English language
- Ability to integrate practical experiments, inquiry-based learning, and real-world applications into lessons
- Familiarity with curriculum planning, assessment strategies, and differentiated instruction
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and effective Physics lessons to secondary school students following the IGCSE and IB curricula
- Prepare lesson plans, assessments, and learning materials aligned with curriculum requirements
- Plan and conduct practical experiments to develop students’ scientific inquiry and problem-solving skills
- Monitor and support student progress and academic achievement
- Prepare students for IGCSE and IB Physics examinations through effective teaching and assessment practices
- Maintain a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment
- Collaborate with colleagues and participate in school activities and professional development
