Job Purpose:

The IT COOP Trainee will support the IT Department in day-to-day operations, troubleshooting, and projects. This role provides practical training for students to gain hands-on experience in IT systems, networks, and user support, in alignment with their university COOP program.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide first-level technical support for hardware, software, and network issues.

• Assist in installing, configuring, and maintaining computers, printers, and other IT equipment.

• Support the IT team in monitoring system performance and resolving technical problems.

• Help with user account management, password resets, and access requests.

• Participate in IT projects such as system upgrades, migrations, or new implementations.

• Document technical procedures, troubleshooting steps, and system configurations.

• Assist in ensuring data security, backup, and compliance with IT policies.

• Perform other IT-related tasks as assigned.

Requirements

Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
