Job Purpose:
The IT COOP Trainee will support the IT Department in day-to-day operations, troubleshooting, and projects. This role provides practical training for students to gain hands-on experience in IT systems, networks, and user support, in alignment with their university COOP program.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide first-level technical support for hardware, software, and network issues.
Assist in installing, configuring, and maintaining computers, printers, and other IT equipment.
Support the IT team in monitoring system performance and resolving technical problems.
Help with user account management, password resets, and access requests.
Participate in IT projects such as system upgrades, migrations, or new implementations.
Document technical procedures, troubleshooting steps, and system configurations.
Assist in ensuring data security, backup, and compliance with IT policies.
Perform other IT-related tasks as assigned.
