Job description
An open position as a Research Assistant is now available in the Department of Mathematical Sciences, College of Science.
Applicants must hold a master’s degree in mathematics, with a specialization or strong background in Operator Algebras and K-Theory. The successful candidate will contribute to a research project aiming to develop a K-theoretical proof of the well-known Brouwer Fixed Point Theorem.
The research position is funded for a period of three months, starting in September 2026. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified researcher with an interest in operator algebras, K-theory, and their applications to fundamental problems in topology and analysis.
