Job Description
Role Overview
The Senior Plumbing Engineer manages all site plumbing and drainage installation activities, ensuring systems are installed in compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and UAE authority requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage all plumbing and drainage installation works on site including hot/cold water, soil/waste, rainwater, and irrigation systems.
- Review plumbing shop drawings, specifications, and method statements for technical correctness.
- Coordinate plumbing works with HVAC, electrical, and civil teams to avoid clashes and delays.
- Manage plumbing subcontractors, tracking progress, quality, and safety performance.
- Prepare and track plumbing submittals, RFIs, and material approval requests.
- Conduct and witness pressure tests, flow tests, and final commissioning activities.
- Ensure compliance with UAE Plumbing Code, DM, and relevant authority standards.
- Prepare plumbing progress reports and contribute to project reporting.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (Plumbing specialization preferred).
- 8–13 years of plumbing/drainage site experience with a Tier 1 UAE MEP contractor.
- Strong knowledge of UAE plumbing standards and authority requirements.
- Experience with GRP, CPVC, PPR, and other UAE-standard pipe systems.
