What you'll be doing

We have committed to reaching Net Zero by 2040, and we’re looking for the person who will turn that commitment into a credible, measurable plan. As a Sustainability Manager you will own our decarbonization roadmap, lead sustainability governance and reporting, and manage a team of three sustainability professionals. You will work closely with our Chief Sustainability Officer and partner with teams across the Group to deliver our ESG strategy across our Planet and Partner pillars.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who is equally comfortable shaping strategy with senior leaders, challenging the technical detail of a scope 3 inventory, and coaching a team to deliver.

What you’ll do

• Lead our path to Net Zero. Own the decarbonization strategy and roadmap across scopes 1, 2 and 3. You’ll set science-based interim targets, prioritize initiatives by impact, feasibility and investment and track progress against our emissions pathway. You’ll also chair the Environmental Taskforce and guide our work on circularity and biodiversity, including TNFD alignment.

• Shape ESG strategy and governance. Co-develop our multi-year ESG strategy with the CSO, lead steering committees and working groups, and brief senior leadership on progress and priorities.

• Drive impact across our value chain. Lead our Brand Engagement Program and supplier ESG performance work, helping our brand partners and suppliers make measurable improvements.

• Own our sustainability reporting. Take end-to-end accountability for the annual Sustainability Report, aligned with GRI, SASB, TCFD and CSRD. You’ll manage external assurance and oversee our ESG ratings, assessments and certifications.

• Build and lead a strong team. Manage, coach and develop three direct reports covering reporting and advocacy, Planet, and Partner programs, and help grow the function as it evolves.

What you’ll need to succeed

• 8–10+ years in sustainability, decarbonization, environmental management or a related field.

• A track record of developing and delivering Net Zero programs across scopes 1, 2 and 3, with strong command of GHG accounting, target setting and reduction roadmaps.

• Experience assessing the technical feasibility, cost and impact of decarbonization initiatives.

• Experience leading sustainability reporting, external assurance and ESG ratings, with working knowledge of GRI, SASB, TCFD and CSRD.

• Proven people leadership experience

• Strong stakeholder management and executive communication skills, with the ability to engage business partners and suppliers on ESG performance.

• A degree in engineering (environmental, energy, mechanical, electrical, industrial or chemical) is preferred. Environmental science or sustainability backgrounds with strong technical decarbonization experience are also welcome.

Nice to have

• Biodiversity or nature-related experience.

• Certifications such as Certified Energy Manager, ISO 14064 Lead Implementer/Verifier, ISO 50001, CMVP, IEMA Practitioner/Full Member, or GRI Professional Certification.
