Job Overview

To ensure that material is collected from the pit Excavators and delivered to the correct Waste dump or stockpile, ROM if ore in a safe, efficient, and timely manner.

Responsibilities and Duties

§ Visually inspect Dump truck for defects and damage according to pre-start checklist

§ Complete Operator’s check list and submit to supervisor included Risk Assessment

§ Reverse and park truck under the bucket of the loading machine correctly and safely

§ Deliver load to the correct dump, ore stockpile or crusher and dump the load according to JRAR procedures

§ Accurately complete the tally for each load in location and load unit

§ Park up safely when changing out truck during operations or end of shift

§ Park up and shut down truck at end of shift according to JRAR safe operations procedures

§ Clean truck cabin area of any rubbish for safety and comfort of other drivers

§ Perform other duties when requested or instructed by supervision

§ Dumping materials for road making, windrow build or dam building etc., at discretion of supervisor

§ Assisting in any civil or pit duties when required

§ Attend Safety, Environmental, Toolbox and Prestart safety meetings

§ To report unsafe and environmentally unhealthy situations to the supervisor

§ Knowledge of controls, gauges, warning lamps and emergency procedures

§ Skill in the use of truck controls to drive and reverse the vehicle safely and efficiently

§ Basic numeracy and literacy for completion of tally sheets, timesheets, and daily check lists

Qualifications

Education Level: primary

Years of Experience: 1

Specific Skills / Competencies:

§ Must have experience in driving a truck in accordance with the local Licenses requirements or the equivalent

§ Must be site inducted, and safety trained

§ Must be site assessed competently trained and skilled to operate a dump truck on site.

Required Licences and Certifications (Optional/If position required):

§ Saudi Driving license

§ Dump Truck operating certificate
