Assistant/Associate Professor – Cybersecurity

The College of Information Technology is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Assistant Professor or Associate Professor in Cybersecurity. The successful candidate will contribute to high-quality teaching, engage in scholarly research, supervise students, and participate in academic service and program development within the college.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate and/or postgraduate courses in cybersecurity, including but not
  limited to:
  • Network Security
  • Ethical Hacking and Penetration Testing
  • Digital Forensics
  • Information Security Management
  • Cryptography
• Develop new course materials, update existing curricula, and ensure alignment with
  industry standards.
• Conduct high-quality research leading to publications in reputable journals and conferences.
• Supervise undergraduate and graduate student projects, theses, and research work.
• Engage in academic advising and mentoring of students.
• Contribute to program accreditation activities and continuous improvement efforts.
• Participate in departmental committees and college-wide academic activities.
• Collaborate with industry and government entities to support research, training, and community engagement initiatives.

Qualifications

• PhD in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Computer Science, or a closely related field.
• Demonstrated research record with publications in recognized, indexed journals.
• Relevant teaching experience at the higher education level.
• Strong expertise in one or more cybersecurity domains (e.g., Al security, network
  defense, forensics, malware analysis, cloud security).
• Professional certifications (e.g., CISSP, CEH, CISM, CCSP) are considered an asset.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to excellence in teaching, research, and service.

Associate Professor:
A strong publication record, proven teaching excellence, and demonstrated academic
service and leadership.
