Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:
- Reviewing CAD drawings, renderings, layouts, study models, construction documents, and color boards prepared by the Design Builder
- Ensuring compliance with applicable codes, standards, and project & client requirements
- Reviewing construction specifications and detailed requisitions for equipment and materials
- Interfacing with suppliers as required
- Coordinating work with engineering and construction units at project site
- Reviewing and approving detailed design and construction drawings and specifications prepared by others
- Providing technical guidance to Architectural Designer and CAD Operators working on the same project
- Performing other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate
Qualification & Skill Set:
The chosen candidate will meet ALL of the essential criteria below
Essential
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture (or equivalent)
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
- Proficiency in utilizing CAD and other design and presentation software packages typically associated with architecture and engineering is desired.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
- A demonstrated ability to administer a variety of activities simultaneously, set priorities, and meet deadlines
Desirable
- Registration as an Architect
- Rail, metro, transit Rail Transit experience in either stations or maintenance facilities
