Position
HBKU seeks applications for faculty positions at the Assistant/Associate/Full Professor level. Scholars with an outstanding record in biopsychology or neuroscience are encouraged to apply.
Job Role Description
- Deliver consistent and high-caliber research productivity.
- Teach and supervise graduate students.
- Participate and lead in administrative duties that influence the College’s output and direction strategies.
- Contribute to the success of the University through university committees and involvement in community professional activities.
Minimum Knowledge, Skills & Experience
- Ph.D. in fields related to biopsychology or neuroscience. Candidates with an MD in Psychiatry, or who have research experience in machine learning applications in neurological and psychiatric disorders, are encouraged to apply.
- Relevant full-time university teaching experience in research, higher education, or closely related areas in industry (additional experience may be required to show equivalency), with evidence of increasing professional maturity and productivity.
- Extensive track record of research with significant contribution to the discipline through professional service.
For senior-level positions:
- Evidence or potential for extramural funding.
- Evidence of experience in successful contribution to the development of young investigators.
- Evidence of experience in graduate education, formal classroom teaching and program development.
- Good knowledge of academic policies, procedures, and ethical issues.
