Job Purpose:
The Associate Analytics Engineer is responsible for developing and maintaining analytics solutions to support data-driven decision-making. In this role, the engineer contributes to building robust data models, automating reporting processes, and delivering actionable insights, working independently on moderately complex tasks.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain dashboards, visualizations, and analytical tools using Power BI
- Design and implement data models and ETL pipelines to support reporting needs
- Translate business requirements into technical specifications and data solutions
- Perform exploratory data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies
- Collaborate with data engineers and analysts to ensure data quality and availability
- Document data workflows and maintain technical documentation
- Assist in developing and optimizing SQL queries and scripts for performance
- Participate in peer reviews and contribute to knowledge-sharing within the team
- Mentor interns by providing guidance, technical support, and feedback to support their learning and development.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in a data or analytics role
- Proficiency in SQL and familiarity with scripting languages like Python
- Experience with BI/reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences
- Experience working with relational databases and data warehousing concepts is a plus
