Candidate Profile
Responsibilities
1. Teach and coordinate graduate-level courses in the field of GIS & Environment.
2. Supervise graduate theses.
3. Conduct and publish scientific research in the field of specialization.
4. Develop and update academic curricula and programs in line with global advancements in the field.
5. Serve on program, department, college, and university committees.
6. Collaborate with faculty members in accreditation and quality assurance activities.
7. Contribute to the establishment of research partnerships with local and international institutions.
Qualification
Minimum Requirements:
- PhD degree from an accredited university in GIS & Environment.
- A documented publication record in Q1 or Q2 journals in the field of specialization.
- Proven teaching experience at the graduate level.
- Experience in supervising graduate students.
- Experience in academic program development and accreditation.
- Proficiency in both Arabic and English (spoken and written).
Special Skills: Use of AI tools and emerging technologies within the field.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience in research collaboration or consultancy with public/private sector and relevant organizations.
- Strong record of obtaining research grants or funded projects.
- Ability to effectively use educational technologies and Learning Management Systems (LMS).
