As a Chief Specialist in Financial Operations & Treasury, you will be lead the day-to-day execution and coordination of Parkin's financial operations and treasury activities — spanning cash and liquidity management, banking and payments, accounts receivable and payable, general ledger support, fixed asset and project accounting, and tax/VAT compliance — ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded, properly controlled, and compliant with Parkin's Finance Policies & Procedures, the Accounting Policies Manual (IFRS), the Financial Delegation of Authority (DOA), and applicable UAE regulatory requirements. The role supervises a small team of specialists and supports the Manager – Financial Operations & Treasury in safeguarding the integrity of financial operations and the continued availability of funds.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & DECISION-MAKING:
Treasury, Cash & Liquidity
· Manage Parkin's liquidity and oversee cash inflow / outflow forecasts to ensure the continued availability of funds.
· Review and consolidate cash flow forecast reports and the short-term cash position.
· Oversee bank reconciliations to ensure they are completed accurately and on time.
· Manage banking relationships and coordinate bank account opening, modification and closure in accordance with the Financial DOA and Bank Mandate.
· Maintain an updated register of bank accounts, authorized signatories, fees, charges and facilities.
· Review bank guarantees (BGs) issued and received and maintain the BG register.
· Support debt and working-capital funding: prepare the borrowing business case and sensitivity analysis, and assist in negotiating terms in consultation with the Manager and CFO, as per DOA.
Payments, Cards & Petty Cash
· Oversee payment processing and collections, ensuring approvals are obtained within DOA thresholds.
· Review corporate credit card issuance, monthly reconciliations and expense entries.
· Review petty cash registers, replenishments and reconciliations, and ensure entries are posted.
· Oversee disbursement of monthly payroll, staff benefits, terminal end benefits, and employee advances / reimbursements.
Accounts Receivable & Payable
· Oversee AR activities: invoicing, receipts, ageing analysis, adjustments / refunds, credit notes and revenue recognition in line with IFRS 15.
· Oversee AP activities: 3-way matching (PO / GRN / invoice), invoice validation, and payment within agreed terms.
· Ensure AR and AP sub-ledgers are reconciled to the general ledger on a monthly basis.
· Review off-system calculations for assurance before processing.
General Ledger, Fixed Assets & Projects
· Support GL transaction processing, journal entries and period-end closing in coordination with Financial Reporting.
· Maintain a complete and up-to-date Fixed Asset Register (FAR), including additions, disposals, transfers, depreciation, impairment / revaluation and physical verification.
· Support project accounting: creation of Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), project code opening / closing, and assignment of budgets and timelines.
