WSP in the Middle East is seeking a talented and motivated Civil Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of innovative and sustainable bridges and tunnels projects. Joining our dynamic team as a Civil Engineer specializing in bridges and tunnels design will provide you with a unique opportunity to contribute to the growth and development of transportation infrastructure across the Middle East. Responsibilities
- Carry out discipline designs to required standards and quality.
- Ensure that all designs are reviewed to the required standards.
- Support the project submittals and No Objection Certificates (NOC) process.
- Stay updated with relevant technical developments within the discipline.
- Understand the contract and scope of project deliverables.
- Ensure that Health & Safety is embedded into all work practices in line with company policies.
- Ensure statutory and regulatory requirements are met.
- Provide regular work status updates, including risks or concerns, to line manager.
- Attend and contribute in team and project meetings as required.
- Contribute to the delivery of the BU strategy, including supporting the company’s approach to sustainability.
- Ensure QMS and Project Lifecycle compliance across team and projects.
- Input into the work of the Technical Working Group (TWG).
- Feedback on all business development opportunities.
Qualifications
- UAE National (with a valid Family Book).
- A bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
- Experience candidate having minimym 2 -3 years of professional experience in bridges and tunnels design projects.
- Proficiency in engineering software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and relevant structural/bridge design tools.
- Strong understanding of civil engineering principles, bridge and tunnel design standards, and construction methodologies.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and adapt to changing project requirements.
- Willingness to work on-site and travel to project locations as required.
