Responsibilities
- Monitor daily construction activities on marine and coastal infrastructure projects.
- Inspect works for compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
- Verify that health, safety, and environmental requirements are strictly followed on site.
- Document inspection findings, prepare reports, and recommend corrective actions.
- Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and client representatives to resolve technical issues.
- Ensure that all work adheres to contractual obligations and project schedules.
- Conduct material testing verification and review test results for acceptance.
- Participate in progress meetings and provide technical input on marine works.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, non‑conformances, and remedial actions.
- Support the preparation of as‑built documentation and project close‑out packages.
Qualifications
- Omani nationality with a valid civil service or professional license.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in marine and coastal infrastructure inspection.
- Hands‑on experience with land reclamation, breakwaters, quay walls, jetties, and port developments.
- Strong knowledge of Omani construction codes, standards, and maritime regulations.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
- Excellent understanding of health, safety, and environmental (HSE) practices on site.
- Effective communication skills in English and Arabic, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of multidisciplinary teams.
- Valid driving license and willingness to travel to project sites across Oman.
