Cloud Infrastructure Administrator

Responsible for designing, implementing, administering and maintaining the organization's (primarily) Microsoft cloud infrastructure and productivity platforms. Ensures the availability, security, performance and efficient operation of cloud services, identity and access management, collaboration platforms, and related infrastructure, while supporting cloud adoption, service improvement, and technology projects in accordance with organizational requirements and IT policies.

Responsibilities

• Provision, configure, implement, administer, maintain, upgrade, and monitor cloud infrastructure services, including Microsoft Azure virtual machines, virtual networks, storage, virtual servers, backup, recovery, and other infrastructure resources, ensuring reliable service availability and performance.
• Administer and support Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business, Microsoft Teams, and related collaboration and productivity platforms, ensuring their effective operation and integration with IT solutions.
• Administer Microsoft Entra ID and Active Directory environments, including user and group management, enterprise applications, authentication, conditional access, privileged access controls, and related virtual server configurations, in accordance with approved security policies.
• Implement and maintain cloud data security configurations and compliance controls using Microsoft Purview and other relevant technologies. Monitor security recommendations, manage system updates and vulnerabilities, and configure and manage email security solutions such as Microsoft Defender and Sophos.
• Monitor cloud service health, availability, capacity, and performance; investigate incidents, troubleshoot technical issues, and provide Level 3 (L3) technical support for Microsoft 365 environments, including Exchange, Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business, Intune, Entra ID, and Active Directory. Coordinate with Microsoft Support and other providers when required.
• Oversee cloud backup and recovery arrangements, retention configurations, and recovery procedures, and support business continuity and disaster recovery planning and testing based on risk evaluations to ensure the resilience and availability of critical systems and data.
• Support cloud adoption, infrastructure migrations, tenant configurations, service deployments, and system integration projects. Manage cross-tenant synchronization environments and cross-tenant migrations, ensuring changes are tested, documented, and implemented through approved processes.
• Utilize PowerShell, scripting, and available automation tools to streamline cloud infrastructure administration, reduce manual effort, improve operational consistency, and optimize cloud resource utilization and costs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement improvements to the collaboration environment, enhancing operational efficiency, system performance, and user experience.
• Ensure successful execution of IT infrastructure projects and maintain accurate technical documentation covering system configurations, infrastructure processes, operating procedures, and best practices in accordance with organizational and regulatory requirements.
• Design, develop, and implement policies, standards, and procedures for the effective management and operation of the department or section, ensuring alignment with National Cybersecurity Authority (NCA) guidelines and applicable IT security requirements.
• Perform regular infrastructure maintenance, system updates, and technical improvements to ensure the continued stability, security, and reliability of cloud infrastructure platforms and services.
• Coordinate with IT Management, infrastructure, network, security, application, and end-user support teams within Dallah Digital to resolve cross-platform issues, identify technical requirements, and deliver reliable cloud services.
• Manage internal and external technical communications and working relationships, serving as a point of escalation for IT infrastructure and support issues and coordinating with relevant service providers when necessary.
• Provide Microsoft 365 technical support to Dallah Digital sister companies according to business requirements, ensuring the effective delivery and continuity of cloud-related services.

Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related IT field.
• Microsoft professional certifications in Microsoft 365 administration and Microsoft Entra ID.

Experience

• Minimum of 6 years of experience in the IT field, including IT operations, infrastructure, or applications management.
• Experience managing Microsoft 365 environments and providing comprehensive technical support.
• Proven experience in delivering technical support services.
• Demonstrated experience managing complex IT infrastructure environments.

Technical Knowledge and Skills

• Strong knowledge of Microsoft products and services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Purview, and Microsoft Entra ID.
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 administration, Microsoft Entra ID, Microsoft Purview, Active Directory administration, and virtualization technologies.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Intune deployment and management.
• Knowledge of IT infrastructure, networking, information security, and cybersecurity.
