The Position
The Opportunity
As the Communication Partner, you will strengthen stakeholder trust and positive perception of Roche UAE, where increased trust in Roche paves the way for partnerships and is a foundation for driving Better Patient Outcomes, Faster.
You will be responsible for planning, creating, and delivering Internal & External corporate communications that support the organization in its goals. You will support the Head of Strategy to work towards fostering Roche UAE’s influence, meaningfully advance the public health conversation, and mobilize our people behind a common purpose and strategy.
Additionally, this position will work closely with the Corporate Communications network for Pharma in the Middle East, as well as external media and PR stakeholders as needed.
Major Responsibilities
- Support Roche UAE’s positioning, profiling and market shaping efforts: Stay abreast of company developments and market trends in order to identify actionable insights and opportunities that can help to support the strategic priorities of the affiliate, including system shaping narratives and public health collaborations.
- Expand the UAE’s communications impact: Ensure effective activation of local priorities and high levels of collaboration topics in line with the affiliate priorities. Ensure communication efforts are focused, integrated, and impactful (measurable).
- Work cross-functionally to accelerate progress: Collaborate closely with relevant stakeholders, including government affairs, public health, access and brand teams, to strengthen stakeholder engagement and influence our priorities in a consistent and optimised way.
- Strengthen Roche´s reputation by engaging the key stakeholders: Assess and develop strategies for effective engagement to raise awareness and strengthen our reputation among key external stakeholders, including but not limited to HCPs, patient organisations (if applicable), the media, etc.
- Drive internal engagement: Enhance the performance of our organisation by connecting and mobilising our people behind our ambition and strategy
- Act as an inspiration-sparker for the brand teams (commercial, medical, access) and a functional support for the Head of Strategy and other senior leaders.

You bring the following educational background, experience, and capabilities:
- You have 4+ years of media/PR/corporate/public affairs experience in the biotech and/or pharmaceutical industry in the UAE
- You have proven leadership experience in a non-hierarchical environment and the ability to lead without authority
- You are experienced in leading multi-stakeholder engagement and advocacy ∙
- You are skilled in cross-functional project management.
- You are a strong leader, proven communicator, strategic thinker, and influencer, who is able to work self-reliantly and independently with a good sense of urgency
- You are fluent in English, and Arabic would be an advantage
- You have a strong ability to build trust and partnerships
