Detailed Technical Responsibilities:
- Pattern Development & Material Selection:
- Analyze complex HVAC shop drawings, cut sheets, and Bill of Quantities (BOQ) to perform accurate material take-offs.
- Lay out, stretch, and develop patterns for custom sheet metal fittings—including offset transitions, bullhead tees, square-to-round adapters, and fire damper casings—minimizing material scrap.
- Select appropriate sheet metal gauges (typically 18 to 26 gauge GI or specialized PI panels) based on system static pressure classifications and airflow parameters.
- Precision Fabrication & Assembly Procedures:
