Job Responsibilities & Requirements
We are looking for an experienced Fire Fighting Technician with hands-on experience in sprinkler installation, modification and fit-out projects, including shell & core works.
Technical Skills & Experience:
Minimum 2 years of experience in fire fighting installation and fit-out works.
Hands-on experience in pipe threading, grooving, cutting and fitting.
Experience in sprinkler system modification, including main lines, branch lines and sprinkler relocation.
Good knowledge of pipe fittings, installation methods and sprinkler system layouts.
Ability to read and understand drawings and execute installation works accordingly.
Knowledge of material planning, pipe measurement and cutting to minimize material wastage.
Experience in hydrostatic pressure testing, flushing and rectification of leaks.
Knowledge of high-level installation works, including sprinkler piping at ceiling level.
Ability to coordinate with main contractor supervisors, engineers and other MEP teams.
Follow proper installation procedures, site safety requirements and work-at-height precautions.
Maintain neat workmanship, proper pipe alignment, secure supports and quality installation.
Assist in testing, commissioning, inspection and project handover.
Qualifications
ITI or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.
Previous experience working with a fire protection company is preferred.
UAE experience is an advantage.
