Job Description
- Manage daily cash handling, deposits, and cash reconciliation.
- Verify and process daily cash and credit card transactions.
- Prepare daily cash reports and ensure all records are accurate and complete.
- Reconcile cash, credit cards, bank transactions, and other payment methods.
- Maintain proper records of cash receipts, deposits, and financial documents.
- Monitor and follow up on outstanding payments and discrepancies.
- Assist with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general accounting activities.
- Ensure all financial transactions are recorded accurately and in a timely manner.
- Conduct regular cash counts and investigate any discrepancies.
- Support month-end closing and preparation of financial reports.
- Ensure compliance with hotel policies, financial controls, and company procedures.
- Maintain confidentiality of financial information and documentation.
- Coordinate with other departments to resolve financial and cashiering issues.
- Perform any other finance-related duties assigned by the Finance Manager.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Previous experience in a hotel or hospitality finance environment is preferred.
- Good knowledge of cash handling, reconciliation, and basic accounting principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Experience with hotel finance systems is an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and numerical accuracy.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage deadlines.
- High level of integrity and confidentiality.
