About the Role
Al Salama Hospital is seeking a General Dentist to provide comprehensive dental care to our patients. The role involves diagnosing, treating, and advising on a wide range of dental issues, performing routine procedures, and referring patients to specialists and consultants when needed to ensure quality dental services.
Responsibilities
- Carry out a full range of clinical activities in accordance with approved clinical core privileges.
- Assess patients' oral health and request X-rays to accurately diagnose problems affecting the teeth, gums, and jawbone.
- Perform general dental procedures, including restorations, scaling and polishing, fluoride application, impressions, and extractions.
- Provide non-surgical endodontic treatment and simple extractions of non-restorable teeth and retained roots.
- Explain procedures, diagnostic results, and treatment plans to patients, and coordinate with other dentists and specialists.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene to maintain dental health and prevent decay.
- Document and maintain complete, up-to-date patient medical records.
- Participate in departmental and hospital-wide quality management activities.
Requirements
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS), or an equivalent degree classified as General Dentist by the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS)
- Valid SCFHS license as a General Dentist
Experience
- 0–3 years of experience as a General Dentist
- 4–5 years or more of experience is preferred
