Job Description:
- Provide service and repairs in accordance with the Technical Skills List and applicable grade level, covering electrical, plumbing, steam, gas, fire and safety, HVAC, refrigeration, interior, painting, and decorating requirements.
- Lubricate machinery and equipment regularly to ensure proper operation and longevity.
- Perform machinist work on a variety of equipment, including the replacement and repair of bearings, gears, belts, shafts, control mechanisms, and related components.
- Conduct oneself in a professional manner at all times, reflecting the high standards and values of Four Seasons Hotels.
- Maintain a clean, neat, organized, and safe work area at all times.
- Maintain positive and effective working relationships with colleagues across all departments.
- Immediately report and appropriately respond to any accident or incident, regardless of severity.
- Respond promptly and appropriately to all hotel emergency and safety situations.
- Perform additional tasks and projects as assigned by Hotel Management and Engineering leadership.
- Maintain, repair, and re-lamp all lamps throughout the hotel, including socket repair and replacement.
- Install electrical wiring for renovations, additional electrical outlets, motors, and associated equipment.
- Conduct preventive maintenance on all electrical equipment and ensure that all relevant logs and records are accurately maintained.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout all Engineering stations and work areas.
- Adjust, troubleshoot, and clean televisions as required.
- Respond promptly and professionally to all guest complaints relating to the maintenance of guest rooms and public areas.
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance in guest rooms and public areas to ensure all facilities and equipment remain in optimal condition.
- Assist with resolving plumbing stoppages and related plumbing issues throughout the building.
- Repair and restore a variety of items brought to the Engineering workshop by other departments.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills
- This position requires an applicant with general food knowledge. Candidates must have good personal presentation and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to perform this position to Four Seasons Standards is required.
- The ideal candidate will have an outgoing personality and a can-do approach to any task!
- Requires reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language.
