Responsibilities

Our newest opportunity is for a talented K2 Developer, seconded to our Client from government sector in Doha, Qatar.

This position is available on a 6-month short-term contract, supporting the project’s immediate requirements in Dubai.

The successful candidate will be designing, building, configuring, and maintaining enterprise-grade business process applications using the K2 product suite (K2 Five / K2 Cloud / Nintex Automation). This role transforms manual, paper-based, or fragmented workflows into streamlined, automated digital applications. The position collaborates with business analysts and IT teams to implement data models, user interfaces, and automated workflows that improve organizational efficiency, governance, and system connectivity.

We envisage success in this role to include;

K2 Application Architecture & Design

  • Workflow Modeling: Translate complex business process maps into functional K2 automated workflows, utilizing advanced rules, inline functions, and conditional routing logic.
  • Smart Forms Development: Design high-fidelity, responsive user interfaces using K2 Smart Forms, incorporating custom views, controls, validation rules, and expressions.
  • Smart Objects Integration: Create and configure reusable K2 Smart Objects to establish secure data handshakes between K2 applications and external databases or SaaS platforms.

Integration & Core Engineering

  • API & System Integration: Connect K2 workflows with core enterprise ecosystems (e.g., SharePoint, SAP, Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics) via REST/SOAP Web Services and custom Service Brokers.
  • Database Programming: Write, optimize, and maintain underlying SQL Server database components, including stored procedures, views, and complex triggers tied to K2 processes.
  • Custom Code Extension: Author custom .NET/C# code snippets, custom assembly brokers, or custom Smart Forms controls to extend K2 platform capabilities when out-of-the-box features fall short.

Maintenance, Administration & Optimization

  • Platform Administration: Troubleshoot failed workflow instances, manage server logs, configure environmental string fields, and handle package deployments using K2 Management and K2 Package & Deployment.
  • Performance Tuning: Audit and refactor inefficient Smart Object queries and deeply nested Smart Form rules to minimize server-side processing times and form load latches.
  • Technical Documentation: Create and update Technical Design Documents (TDD), environment migration playbooks, and structural data dictionaries for all custom K2 builds

Qualifications

To be successful in this dynamic opportunity, we envision that your career journey to date will include 5+ years of professional software development experience, with a heavy emphasis on business process management (BPM) systems, partnered with Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related quantitative field.

Furthermore, you should demonstrate:

  • Dedicated K2 Experience: At least 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience designing, developing, and deploying enterprise applications explicitly built over K2 Five or K2 Cloud.
  • Enterprise Integration Track Record: Proven experience successfully integrating K2 ecosystems with at least two standard enterprise architectures (such as SharePoint Online, Oracle, other ERP’s or Databases).
  • K2 Core Architecture: Deep mastery of the K2 product suite (K2 Five or K2 Cloud), including K2 Designer, Smart Objects, Smart Forms, K2 Workflow, K2 Management, and K2 Workspace.
  • Database Programming: Expert proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server, advanced T-SQL scripting, writing optimized stored procedures, and complex views.
  • Software Development: Strong programming foundations in .NET, C#, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript (useful for extending out-of-thebox Smart Forms).
  • K2 Specific Credentials: Nintex/K2 Certified Specialist, K2 Five Core Developer, or Nintex Automation Cloud Practitioner/Developer certifications.
  • Microsoft Ecosystem Certifications: Microsoft Certified: AzureDeveloper Associate or relevant legacy certificates in SQL Server / .NET development.

KEO’s performance is founded upon integrity, results, innovation, safety and our people. We embrace diversity and recognise its’ contribution to client success wherever we work.

We are excited to hear how you can partner with our award-winning team and treat all expressions of interest confidentially.
