We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Engineer to manage and oversee the maintenance activities in both animal feed production. The ideal candidate will have expertise in maintaining equipment used in feed mills, and related processes. The goal is to minimize downtime, ensure optimal machinery performance, and enhance operational efficiency through preventive maintenance and troubleshooting.
Key Accountabilities
• Oversee the maintenance and repair of feed mill machinery and including mixers, grinders, pellet mills, conveyors, ventilation systems,.
• Implement and manage preventive and predictive maintenance programs to ensure continuous and efficient operation of equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in feed mills and poultry farms.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations within both the animal feed .
• Manage inventory and procurement of spare parts, ensuring parts availability to avoid production delays.
• Work closely with production and operations teams to ensure minimal disruption in the feed production and poultry operations.
• Conduct regular inspections, audits, and maintenance checks to detect early signs of potential failures or maintenance needs.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, logs, and reports, tracking repairs and service history for all equipment.
• Lead and supervise a team of maintenance technicians, providing guidance and training to improve technical skills.
• Develop and implement energy-saving initiatives and cost-effective maintenance solutions to optimize plant operations.
• Coordinate with external contractors for specialized repair and servicing as needed.
• Monitor production downtime and work to improve equipment uptime by addressing root causes of mechanical failures.
