Key Responsibilities
- Develop detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 and ensure alignment with project objectives and client requirements.
- Monitor project progress against baseline schedules and provide regular updates to project managers and stakeholders.
- Analyze critical paths, resource allocations, and potential delays, proposing corrective actions to mitigate risks.
- Coordinate with project teams to gather data on progress, resource usage, and potential bottlenecks.
- Prepare and present detailed progress reports, including earned value analysis, to internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with project planning standards, contractual requirements, and relevant regulations.
- Collaborate with cost control teams to integrate scheduling and budgeting processes.
- Support the tendering process by developing preliminary schedules and resource plans for bids.
- Conduct regular site visits to verify progress and ensure alignment with the project schedule.
- Implement best practices in planning and scheduling to enhance project efficiency and outcomes.
- Train and mentor junior planning staff to build departmental capabilities.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, tools, and techniques in project planning and controls.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in project planning and scheduling within the construction or engineering industry.
- Proficiency in Primavera P6 and MS Project.
- Strong understanding of critical path method (CPM) and earned value management (EVM).
- Familiarity with Saudi Building Code (SBC) and other relevant regulations.
- Registration with the Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE).
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Construction Management or a related field.
- Certification in Project Management Professional (PMP) or Planning and Scheduling Professional (PSP).
- Experience with mega-projects or government infrastructure initiatives.
- Knowledge of BIM tools and their integration with scheduling software.
- Familiarity with Saudi Vision 2030 projects and objectives.
Working Conditions
