Job Purpose
Manage allocated procurement area and support wider procurement activities, including facility development and implementation, and operational sourcing, procurement, contracting, and operations processes. Ensure the organization attains the best value in the goods and services required to achieve its goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Recommend improvements to departmental policy and direct implementation of procedures and controls.
- Conduct research and analysis to ensure sourcing and procurement strategies are current and effective.
- Develop and implement facilities and contracts with contractors and suppliers.
- Manage company projects related to procurement and handle sensitive issues effectively.
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with suppliers and contractors to ensure value for money.
- Provide procurement advice to influence strategic directions within the company.
- Deliver regular updates and detailed reports on procurement activities and performance.
- Develop and administer standard contracts for goods and services across the organization.
- Manage expectations and provide innovative solutions to complex procurement issues.
- Ensure all procurement activities comply with relevant laws and regulations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align procurement strategies with organizational needs.
- Monitor market trends to identify opportunities for cost savings and improved service quality.
- Facilitate training and development sessions for procurement team members on best practices and new technologies.
- Lead negotiations with suppliers to secure advantageous terms.
- Perform additional job-related projects or assignments as required by business needs and requested by the manager.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain/Business Administration or equivalent required.
- Certification: APICS or CSCP preferred.
- License: Driving License required.
- Experience: 2 to 5 years of related experience required.
- Languages: Fluent in English and Arabic required.
