InterContinental Dubai Marina is a Five Star luxury hotel in the heart of Dubai Marina, featuring 328 rooms and residence suites, flexible event spaces, and a variety of restaurants & bars. With over 30 languages and countries represented by the staff, the hotel weaves together an international five-star presence.
Your role will include but not be limited to:
- Lead the Public Area team to ensure all hotel public areas are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness, presentation, and hygiene.
The Public Area Team Leader is a working lead role: you will supervise the team and also clean alongside with them throughout the shift.
- Coordinate daily cleaning assignments and ensure all tasks are completed efficiently and according to the established schedule.
- Conduct regular inspections of public areas, including the lobby, corridors, elevators, restrooms, restaurants, back-of-house areas, and other assigned spaces.
- Ensure all cleaning activities are carried out in accordance with hotel standards, HACCP requirements, health and safety procedures, and brand standards.
- Monitor the proper use, handling, and storage of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and supplies.
- Assist the team with daily cleaning duties and provide guidance and support whenever required.
- Ensure cleaning equipment and machinery are properly maintained and report any defects or maintenance requirements promptly.
- Coordinate with the Housekeeping and other hotel departments to address cleaning requirements, guest requests, and operational needs.
- Respond promptly to guest and colleague requests related to public area cleanliness and ensure issues are resolved professionally.
- Train, coach, and guide Public Area Attendants on cleaning procedures, equipment usage, safety practices, and hotel standards.
- Ensure adequate stock of cleaning materials and amenities and inform the supervisor of replenishment requirements.
- Report any damages, maintenance issues, lost and found items, or safety hazards observed in public areas.
- Maintain proper records and checklists related to cleaning schedules, inspections, and equipment maintenance.
- Support deep-cleaning activities and special cleaning projects as required.
- Maintain a professional and positive working relationship with colleagues and other departments.
- Perform any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Housekeeping Management team.

Ideally, you'll have some or all the following qualifications and experience we're looking for:
- A hospitality qualification or equivalent experience in a luxury hotel.
- At least 1-2 years in Housekeeping operations.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Fluency in English (other languages are a plus).
A confident presence, guest-focused mindset, and flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays.
