WSP is hiring a Quantity Surveyor in Doha, Qatar, to support cost and commercial management across project phases. Duties include preparing cost estimates and tender documents, conducting quantity take-offs, administering contracts, tracking variations and claims, and supporting payment certification and reporting. - Prepare and update cost estimates, budget forecasts, and cost plans across all project phases.
- Assist in the preparation and evaluation of Bills of Quantities (BoQs), pricing schedules, and tender documentation.
- Support contract administration activities in line with FIDIC and Ashghal contract formats.
- Perform quantity take-offs and verify contractor measurements and valuations.
- Prepare interim payment applications and support in certifying contractor payments.
- Track and manage project variations, changes, and claims.
- Provide support in claims assessment and dispute resolution processes.
- Maintain cost control systems and prepare regular commercial reports.
- Liaise with clients, contractors, and project teams on all commercial matters.
- Ensure proper documentation, cost records, and contract correspondence are maintained throughout the project lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in quantity surveying, preferably on infrastructure or highway projects.
- Prior working experience with Ashghal projects is strongly preferred.
- Sound knowledge of FIDIC contracts and cost control procedures.
- Proficient in cost management software (e.g., CostX, CANDY) and MS Excel.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
- Membership in a recognized professional body (e.g., MRICS) is an advantage.
