Responsibilities:
- Architect, design and develop REST/GraphQL APIs and microservices (Python FastAPI/Flask, Node.js/Express.js)
- Build video-metadata processing and event-driven systems
- Design and optimise database schemas across relational and NoSQL stores (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, TimescaleDB, Redis)
- Implement message-broker-based pipelines (Kafka/RabbitMQ) and authentication/security (JWT, OAuth)
- Optimise API performance; design and maintain CI/CD pipelines; containerise with Docker, orchestrate with Kubernetes
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field
- 5-9 years of professional software-engineering experience with a focus on API development
- Proficiency in Python and Node.js, with frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask or Express.js
- Extensive knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases; API security best practices
- Experience with cloud platforms and a strong background in CI/CD, Docker and Kubernetes
