Position Overview:
To support the - Transport & Distribution Department through the gathering, cleansing, sorting and aggregation of data from various sources. To then consult on the business information and decision-making needs, and design, plan, coordinate and manage data to generate output reports and presentations.
- Working with shipping companies to ensure that shipments arrive on time and in good condition
- Coordinating the flow of materials and products through distribution centers or warehouses
- Maintaining accurate inventory records in order to identify overstocks or shortages
- Reviewing orders to make sure they have been filled correctly and that all necessary information is included
- Planning routes and schedules for transport vehicles in order to meet delivery deadlines
- Coordinating with suppliers or vendors to arrange deliveries of materials or products to clients
- Developing new methods for storing or transporting goods that can help reduce costs or increase efficiency
- Reviewing shipping costs to determine the most cost effective method of transporting goods
- Supporting other departments within a company by providing them with logistical support during events such as trade shows
Qualification and Experience:
- Recognized degree in Data Science, Analytics or Data Management related field (MBA preferred)
- A minimum of 3 years in a supply chain and logistics operations field (preferred)
