We are looking for an experienced Senior Wayfinding Technical Designer to join our Dubai team, supporting the delivery of high-profile projects across the Middle East.

The ideal candidate will have strong technical design and coordination capabilities, with the ability to independently lead the technical development of signage and wayfinding packages from approved design concepts through detailed design, tender and construction stages.

The role requires a thorough understanding of signage systems, construction detailing and multidisciplinary coordination, ensuring design intent is accurately translated into coordinated, technically sound and buildable solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Technical Package Leadership: Independently lead the development and delivery of signage and wayfinding technical packages, ensuring accuracy, consistency and compliance with project scope, deliverables and programme.

  • Technical Design Development: Translate approved sign family designs into comprehensive technical intent drawings, including dimensions, materials, finishes, fixing principles, illumination requirements and construction details.

  • Sign Location Plans & Message Schedules: Lead the preparation and coordination of sign location plans, message schedules, sign coding, quantities and associated documentation, ensuring consistency across all deliverables.

  • Multidisciplinary Coordination: Coordinate signage requirements with architecture, landscape, interiors, structural, MEP and lighting disciplines to ensure accurate integration within the built environment and resolve potential design clashes.

  • Materials & Fabrication: Develop and specify appropriate materials, finishes, fabrication methods, mounting solutions and illumination systems in line with approved design intent and project requirements.

  • Technical Quality Control: Review technical drawings and documentation for accuracy, constructability, accessibility compliance and alignment with project standards.

  • Tender & Construction Support: Provide technical support during tender and construction stages, including the review of shop drawings, material samples, prototypes, RFIs and fabricator submissions.

  • Site Coordination: Undertake site surveys and inspections, coordinate with consultants and fabricators, and resolve technical issues to ensure the approved design intent is maintained through implementation.

  • Team Coordination: Guide and review the work of junior technical designers, ensuring coordinated and timely delivery of technical documentation.

Preferred Attributes

  • Experience delivering large-scale master plans, urban developments, transport, hospitality, retail or mixed-use projects.

  • Experience working on Middle East projects and bilingual Arabic/English signage systems.

  • Advanced Revit and BIM coordination capabilities.

  • Knowledge of regional accessibility standards, signage regulations and construction requirements.

  • Experience coordinating with signage fabricators and reviewing shop drawings, prototypes and installation details.

  • Ability to mentor junior technical designers and manage technical deliverables across multiple projects.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Architecture, Industrial Design, Product Design, Environmental Design or a related field.

  • Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in signage and wayfinding technical design, architectural detailing or a related technical design discipline, with demonstrated experience delivering complex technical packages.

  • Proven ability to independently manage signage technical documentation and coordinate multidisciplinary project requirements.

  • Strong understanding of signage materials, fabrication techniques, fixing systems, illumination and construction detailing.

  • Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD, with strong experience preparing and coordinating sign location plans, technical drawings and message schedules.

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Illustrator and InDesign.

  • Working knowledge of Revit and BIM workflows, including model coordination and integration of signage within multidisciplinary models.

  • Ability to interpret and coordinate architectural, landscape, structural and MEP drawings.

  • Strong understanding of technical documentation standards, accessibility requirements and quality control procedures.

  • Excellent organisational, problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple technical packages and coordinate effectively with project teams.
